Hi, I am Tanya. I'm a writer, linguist, and artist. You can find my latest essays and artwork on this website.

I also write the weekly newsletter The Wrong Globe about language, culture and living between worlds, and The Language Obsessive, about language learning from the inside: messier, stranger, and more exciting than it sounds.

I have lived in Russia, Canada, the US and the UK, and am now based in Israel with my two kids and one trilingual labrador.
